Prologue and Mission

We promote clean-ups and long-term reductions in pollution; and programs assisting life affirming and sustainable development.

Statement of Fact:

We [humankind] are poisoning our planet for ourselves; and all other species of life. We are poisoning the air we breathe, the food and water we ingest, the very land we walk upon, and the oceans from which humanity hopes to produce food in future. For instance, already the U.N. is advising humans all over the world not to eat shark of any kind or type, and no more than 4 ounces of Tuna per week if you are an adult; none if you are a child? . Mercury! Do you remember that 25 years ago we all had a dream . . . of living in a paperless computer world . . . we now consume more paper, in every office, than we ever did? The incidence of asthma and related illness in our children has gone up over 450% in the last 25 years? Between 1960 and 1998 the prevalence of chronic conditions among all children, resulting in disability, rose from 1.8% to 6.4%.. according to The Internet Journal of Epidemiology™ ISSN: 1540-2614 . WHO - World Health Oranization > Asthma is a chronic disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing, which vary in severity and frequency from person to person. During an asthma attack, the lining of the bronchial tubes swells, causing the airways to narrow and reducing the flow of air into and out of the lungs. > Chronic respiratory diseases are chronic diseases of the airways and other structures of the lung. Some of the most common are asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), respiratory allergies, occupational lung diseases and pulmonary hypertension.

In Fact sheet N°284 issued February 2005 and entitled:The environment and health for children and their mothers:

The issues

More than three million children under five die each year from environment-related causes and conditions. This makes the environment one of the most critical contributors to the global toll of more than ten million child deaths annually -- as well as a very important factor in the health and well-being of their mothers.

Polluted indoor and outdoor air, contaminated water, lack of adequate sanitation, toxic hazards, disease vectors, ultraviolet radiation, and degraded ecosystems are all important environmental risk factors for children, and in most cases for their mothers as well. Particularly in developing countries, environmental hazards and pollution are a major contributor to childhood deaths, illnesses and disability from acute respiratory disease ... “

Where have our dream gone?

Pollution knows no boundaries.

Our initiatives are both global and local in nature. Since we are global we will use International English as the standard. That is the standard of the U.N. http://www.un.org/ , the E.U. http://europa.eu/ and the International Standards Organization [ISO] http://www.iso.org/iso/en/ISOOnline.frontpage . Similarly, we have our world wide meetings starting at 12Noon UTC, on the 1st Saturday of each month. This 8601 Standard is from The International Standards Organization http://www.iso.org/iso/en/prods-services/popstds/datesandtime.html#two .

We believe that everyone has a duty and an obligation to correct the imbalance caused by past errors of humankind.

Mission

Stop, then reverse human caused world pollution; andyour mission should you choose to accept at least a part of the responsibility: Target dates are as follows:

  1. Stop growth trend in world pollution, by Earth Day 2030. It will take years to stop the growth in human caused pollution, but we hope to level off the rate of increase, by Earth Day 2030.

  2. Reverse current trends and achieve geometrically declining world pollution by Earth Day 2040. We want to see lower world human caused pollution by 2% per year - to as high as 10% per year.

  3. In short, we must do more than eliminate paradox; we must create a paradigm shift. Are you interested in a challenge?

Methodology

1. Research, analyze and study, plan, organize, initiate and assist in pollution abatement.

2. We will never form, nor are we as a group ever part of any confrontational approach to influence policy within industry, government or public institutions. We believe that such a policy is over-rated and ineffectual. We will, however, assist in policy formulation, but only if asked.

3. We will draw directly upon the vast resources and goodwill of humankind’s most affected, to initiate change. This will be done through a world wide information campaign through grandparents, mothers and children and young people. Much of that is Internet related. We believe that all humans, even the past consumptive generations will change, with the enlightened self-interest of the very survival of our species.

We will involve ourselves in fact based informational campaigns.
